ONLY WHAT I HAVE DONE TO PROTECT MYSELF IF WE HAVE ANOTHER CRASH IN THE MARKETS!! I think the low we hit on the Dow 03/09/09 of 6540 is not the low for the year. Let me explain why. From a high 14,165 on 09/09/07 to a low of 6540 on 03/09/09 we Bear Rallied to 8800 on 06/12/09. We have been range bound for a month, fighting to stay above 7800. If we don't go much below 7800 in the next few trading day, we could breakout past the June 09 highs and possible over 9000. If we don't it will prove the June 12 high was impulsive and we will crash to below 4500 by the end of the year. I have protected myself by buying Dow Dec 09 4000, 5000, and 6000 PUT leaps. These out of the money Puts were cheap. I also bought out of the money Dec 010 put leaps which were not cheap but I have over 500 days left to expire date. Since 1999 I have been buying all the pre 1964 U.S. silver coins, and gold coins I can afford. Stay on your toes these markets could go either way in the next few months.
