Note: We apologize for the confusion created from this post, this is meant to fix flash player problems and not the stream drops that we had at the end of June.
When clicking the “Listen Live Online” link a flash player will pop up and allow you to listen to the live streaming of Republic Broadcasting Network, however, those who have Flash Player 10 are experiencing problems with the player crashing or not playing at all. To correct this you will need to downgrade to Flash Player 9 by following these steps, make sure to read and follow directions carefully…
First you will need to remove Flash Player 10 by downloading the uninstaller here:
Flash Player 10 uninstaller
Once you’ve completely removed Flash Player 10, you will need to download Flash Player 9 by clicking on the link below.
1. A dialog menu will pop up where you will need to either Open or Save the file.
2. Once downloaded you will have a number of files, find 9r115 and open it.
3. Open file flashplayer9r115_win.exe and it will automatically download flash player 9.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have created. When it comes to software, bugs like these are created all the time.

Eddie, 1.delete browsing hisotory and cookies 2.run as administrator 3.turn off security firewall until after download. note-The ocx error and crash I was getting bugged me so much I just decided to listen through Itunes instead.So I’m glad this was posted as it was the only network I was having problems with.The Shoutcast flash player clasehes with Flash 10 or 11.5.Other flash players are not a problem.So,if this is the same with you,just listen through Windows Media Player,Itunes or Real Player.I prefer not to downgrade as I also have Shockwave and the videos and audios elsewhere work grewat with latest flash and shockwave players.

I know.That’s when I started having problems,but again only with the shoutcast player here.That’s why I opted not to downgrade.I prefer the popup flash players,but have had problems here for a couple months.

Having all kinds of problems w/the stream today. Keep getting dropped. In looking at a command line streaming client, it seems the buffer isn’t remaining full long enough to keep playing for whole program. When it starts back up, it plays from the all ready downloaded buffer, and then may/may not stop if the stream updates it. I have missed a lot of my favorite RBN programs today due to this issue.

I get a log on screen with a password request every 5 minutes or so, and lose feed from Alan Watt show. If I just leave it blank, I get another one, still with no feed. If I put something in it, the feed comes back…for a little while.

Tried it all…problem has to be at your end. This is a new DELL never had problem in the past. Your recommended solutions did not work. In fact, now have to look for Adobe 10 and upgrade.

i have tried everything as well and all the different players and have same problem [stopping ..cutting out..then it picks up at live then stops again..over and over ..it will drive ya crazy..couldn’t take anymore so switched to GCN..i agree problem at RBN end..

I have a Mac and use Itunes . Last Tuesday’s intel report kept dropping out . Ok now except for a very low sound level which makes it impossible to listen . Sure do miss listening to all your shows .

You had a great sound level before the so called net trouble . Now I had to go out and by power assist speakers to listen to your shows . With this economy in the shape it is in this took away from areas where that money could have better been used . All because you fail to correct your problem .

Also,I bnoticed all the newtworks following Alex Jones in the money bomb deal.Well,the archives aren’t free anymore,there’s sound problems.And only Oracle is covering the AJ selling out the past few years.There was a token coverage of the Rense affair. with Jones.But now Jones is sueing someone for having his videos on his site.The guy was a former employee and had Aj’s blessings.He took the videos down.And DrRebecca Carley said on the Drew Raines show that AJ’s produver canceled a show with Jane Burgermeister last week.AJ is a gatekeeper and one wonders why most newtworks are afraid to expose him,except for a goofy new ager network.With Herzog,Guiliani,and Evenson gone,I’m not donatinf until there are changes.Times are tight.If RBN goes off the air so be it.There’s enough commercial on these shows as it is.

The problem has been fixed for me. I haven’t had a problem in about a week.
On the issue of Alex Jones sueing the guy who made a lookalike website, you can’t blame Alex for that. First because he has to defend his copyright to his program and his name. Secondly, if he allowed a lookalike, that lookalike could be used to set him up. I’m sure that the Southern Poverty Law Center – or Homescam Security or a host of other groups would love to see Alex off the air and fighting for survival. He is big enough that he really has to worry about that.

If would bother to do your homework, you wouldn’t call Alex Jones a shill. He isn’t. The things he talks about are true. If you extract the melodrama he sometimes engages in and subtract his whining about how hard he works, basically everything he talks about is true – and I know that because of my own research. If he is guilty of anything, I think it is too much focus on the criminal actions of some Texas cops. There are insurgents in all the police departments because of Clinton’s COPS program. I have pretty good luck with Real Player. It will record, pause, rewind and fast forward like a tape player. Microsoft Media Player won’t do that.. Alex Jones.. I have been getting an error message indicating a problem with the Flash10c.ocx add-on that says IE needs to close. No getting around it- it closes.after about 15 seconds. I have tried your fix of going back to Flash 9 . It doesn’t work –neither do any of the things suggested on the Adobe site.
Now I can’t get anything. I have Vista OS, does this make any difference? This is the only site I have a problem with, Help!

PLEASE fix your streams so the ‘name’ of the show playing at the moment shows-up in MediaPlayer like they used to. For several weeks now, it reads ‘RBN Overnight’ all the time, 24 hrs a day. All the listen-live links are like this… Thanks !!
