The above photo was submitted by an active duty Oath Keeper in Mosul Iraq, sporting an Oath Keepers tab. As his other tab and patch make clear, he is also a “Three Percenter.” (see below)
The photo was also posted over at the Sipsey Street Irregulars blog with this message:
Just thought the WRSA [Western Rifle Shooters Association] and the Sipsey Street boys might like to see what we are wearing while over here in Iraq. We . . . know what the deal is, and when the time comes (which it will), we know where we stand and continue to make preparations for it.
Keep up the good work!
Regards from Mosul,
K7C
All I can say to that is Hooah! Thank you for your service, K7C, and for stepping up. Give our best regards to your brothers in arms, and let them know we have your six back home. If any of you need anything at all, from socks to helmets, to body armor, just ask and it will be provided. We need you to stay safe and come home healthy.
Oath Keepers here stateside, let your brothers on active duty in Iraq know how you feel. They do come here to read comments, count on that.
Note that the tab in the photo is not the same tab we sell here on our site (which is more of a police style tab). We are having military ACU style tabs with velcro made up, but they are not yet finished. That means the troops are having their own Oath Keeper tabs made up! And no, we did not put them up to it. They are doing this on their own initiative.
So take heart! The message of the oath and its obligations is spreading, and the Guardians of the Republic are listening and responding. And every time you act to spread the message, by whatever means, you cannot know what impact you will have, or how far it will reach. That’s why it’s so crucial that we each do what we can to reach, teach, and inspire as many active duty as possible about their obligation to defend the Constitution and their duty to refuse unlawful orders that would violate the rights of their fellow Americans.
Upcoming Outreach Effort to Put Tabs, DVD’s, and OK Handbooks in the Hands of Active Duty
Coincidentally, the tabs those troops are wearing are almost exactly like the tabs we are having made for our upcoming care package initiative, which will put an Oath Keeper tab, DVD, Oath Keepers handbook, copy of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and other outreach materials, into the hands of active duty deployed worldwide. We plan on launching that effort on Veteran’s Day, November 11 and continuing right on through Bill of Rights Day, December 15, with the goal of delivering all the care packages by Christmas. Now imagine what that will be like! Tens of thousands of our troops reached with the message and a tab. I will post more details very soon.
What’s a Three Percenter?
Now, seeing the other tab and patch in the photo, you may ask “what is a three percenter?” The narrowest definition is that three percenters are hard-line gun owners who are done backing up and will not comply with more infringements of their right to bear arms. A broader definition would be that they are hard-line Americans who are done backing up and will not comply with further infringement of any of their rights. It also alludes to the three percent of the colonists who took to the field against the King during the Revolution, and the estimation that at least three percent of modern Americans will actively fight, if it comes to it, to preserve liberty. Read this essay for more explanation.
Oath Keepers and Three Percenters are separate groups, but it is not a surprise to see people who consider themselves both an Oath Keeper and a Three Percenter. If you read the supplied links you will see why.
While we Oath Keepers have a specialized mission of outreach to current serving, focused on the oath and on refusing to obey unlawful orders, there’s lots of common ground and shared commitment to the Republic among both groups. Go here to read what the Sipsey Street blog has to say about that.
Oath Keepers, expect to see more of these tabs popping up soon, even before we begin our care package initiative. You are making a real difference. Keep up the good work!
For the Republic,
Stewart Rhodes

Any such pro-Constitutional tabs worn in service, by any American military loyal to the U.S. Constitution would be badges of mental courage (imo)…
They wouldn’t be appreciated by the globalist D.O.D. but something of great pride (I would think) by the service person wearing them…

This “soldier” is not active u.S. military. The dress code of the armed services would not allow the wearing of unauthorised awards, patches nor tabs. To do so would mean a courts martial and discharge. Oathkeepers is not an active military unit. So whoever is promoting this non-sense about active duty u.S. forces in oathkeepers is misleading you. This character is either a zionist plant or one of the mercenaries killing Iraqi’s. Secede Now!

Your fulla crap. I wore several unauthorized patches during my 10 years on active duty. It’s just a matter of how big your balls are. You can get away with anything until someone that actually cares catches you. Then you just have to convince them not to care or get rid of them.
Besides, there are so many different patches in the military nobody knows all of them.

Well if wearing “civilian” insignia while in a combat theater is allowed. Then I should see soldiers in Mossy Oak cammo and wearing steel pots. Since this is not the case. The wearing of ANY insignia not allowed by AR 670-1 is in direct violation of military conduct and illegal under the Geneva Convention, during war.
And what does this tell you about these so-called Oath Keepers? Are they really following the u.S. constitution? If they were. They would put down their weapons and refuse to kill until a declaration of war is declared. But I guess the flagwavers will not be satisfied until a few more million men, women and children are sacrificed for Israel. Secede Now!

Concur with you Jim. As a retired vet. I found it hard to enforce uniform regs while active. There are too many modifications & independent command authorized allowances. Very hard for 1 command to tell another command what is acceptable & what is not. Hopefully this will catch on like a wild fire.

The poster above is correct, most times the military regs would find this “politically incorrect” and using these tabs = UCMJ violation.
So, the wearers of these tabs are playing a game of “remove from Velcro” when the officers are around. This means it’s almost a 99% chance they DON’T wear these tabs 24/7 . However, the thought of being able to wear these tabs is comforting to the rest of us.
I guess this is one good advantage of wearing the ACU’s.

I think it would REALLY be comforting if enough of the rank ‘n file military wore these types of velcro tabs (say 25% to 50% or even more)… Because then it would be quite impractical to single out anyone for disciplinary intimidation…
At such a point also, the military higher ups would no longer be assured of expecting even reasonable compliance with any clearly un-Constitutional commands (especially against American citizens).
They (the globalist command and control) might still rely on foreign NATO personnel or mercenaries…but no longer the average U.S. military… Am I wrong about my conclusions?…

no sir fraid not ,,the military is so vindictive they would punish and entire batalion ,regiment or division all at once in an open field to prove their point, is no way they gonna let anyone get away with this ,,i been there ,i knows,

Well bo, I don’t disagree that the American military upper echelon has a history of being petty and vindictive…but unless they are overruled by the politician “priest-class” above them (like the Executive branch and Sec. of Defense)…they will also be coldly pragmatic…
If the Pentagon/D.o.D. were to openly TREAT (not just classify) personnel wearing little patriotic tags as active “low-level terrorist” or “insurrectionists”–single-ling them out for harsh disciplinary measures…it would likely trigger EXTREME destabilizing consequences within ALL the U.S. military and possibly beyond.
To mass persecute even a small percentage of it’s total personnel for simple patriotic tags…at the very least it might be converting a minor “tag problem” into a major nightmare “frag and sabotage problem”…
So an incredibly stupid disciplinary choice with untold mission cripple-ling consequences (imo).
That alone would be reason enough to wear them. Imagine every American sent home from their respective theaters. Sure unemployment would suck at first, but once a fuse is lit…

God bless our troops and our constitution. Regarding uniform dress code etc. I was in Vietnam mostly 1967 with the 2/7 Cav., Ist Cav., infantry. 11B40VN67. In combat smany of the people, officers included, do not play all of the stateside games. Unless you get some left wing politician coming through, the patches are probably welcomed by most. To all service people, past and present …. Thanks for your service and check out “Patriot Outreach.org”, coping strategies, to help you get your mind right with all that is coming at you.
