“Support for Hillary Clinton will continue to subject blacks to the same unsustainable policies implemented by President Lyndon Johnson, who issued crumbs and enslaved black families through programmatic handouts to keep them under control and dependent; this is a war against conscience and will mortgage the future of black children.  Black Americans, we must look in a new direction.”

Rev. William Owens, president of The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), will convene at the National Press Club in D.C. Thursday, September 29, 2016 @ 10:00AM to call for the EXODUS from and denouncement of the Democrat Party. ‘We will not allow the pandering of politicians to mortgage our children’s future with deceitful promises they have no intentions to keep.’ His perspective as a private citizen and educator is to address concerns in the black community and is not an endorsement.

Rev. William Owens and a host of black business and religious leaders are calling for a reckoning of conscience; black Americans must take an honest assessment of our quality of life as a result of failed Democrat policies that have torn our families apart for the past 50 years. The facts are undeniable; there are more black families on Welfare than at any other time in modern history. No community can thrive on food stamps.

Black America must seize this moment to write a new narrative and support a candidate whose policies will enhance and provide opportunity for economic growth so our communities can rise from the heap of despair.

ISSUES to be addressed:  Abortion, Religious Liberties, and deterioration of the family
