Israel seeks regional hegemony along with America, wanting regime change in Syria and Iran.
It’s waging intermittent war on Syria, aiding ISIS, al-Nusra and other terrorist groups, eager for escalated US aggression – Assad automatically blamed for Tuesday’s Khan Sheikhoun CW attack, despite no evidence proving it.
On Thursday, ultranationalist defense minister Avigdor Lieberman lied, claiming “100% certain(ty)” about Assad’s responsibility for Tuesday’s incident, adding he does’t know if Russia was involved.
“Let the world (community) take responsibility and do something rather than just talk,” he blustered, stressing “Israel must rely…on itself.”
Israeli media are as anti-Assad as their Western counterparts, irresponsibly claiming he approved Tuesday’s CW attack, a shameless Big Lie.
On Thursday, anti-government terrorists claimed another CW attack in Al-Lataminah village, Assad again falsely blamed, no further information at this time, perhaps more similar false flags coming, pushing for escalated conflict.
In an interview published Thursday, Assad accused Israel of supporting terrorists against his government, saying:
War remains ongoing. “But as for calling it a Syrian-Israeli war, you can assume in any case that these terrorists are fighting for Israel.”
“It is a war that has taken a new form and uses new instruments. Even if they are not a regular Israeli army, they are still fighting for Israel.”
Allied with America, NATO, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, they “all share the same objective” as Israel, he said.
“(O)ur victory over the terrorists is a victory over all those states put together. That’s why Israel is doing its best to support these terrorists in every place the Syrian Army advances.”
He’s hopeful about positive momentum, “but war is unpredictable,” he stressed.
“We do not have any other option except victory. If we do not win this war, it means that Syria will be deleted from the map.”
“We have no choice in facing this war, and that’s why we are confident, we are persistent and we are determined.”
On Thursday, Israeli military intelligence-connected DEBKAfile (DF) said “(t)he Trump administration is clearly on the brink of (escalated) military action against” Assad.
Administration talk about all options on the table suggests it. According to DF, Trump officials are weighing the scale of escalated war, what targets to strike, and wanting confrontation with Russia avoided.
“Washington and Moscow have been locked in intense negotiations for hours regarding the possible attack. The outcome is still awaited,” said DF.
Tough talk by US officials suggests escalated war coming. It’s perhaps imminent. How far Trump intends to go remains unknown.
So is how Russia will react – committed to combating terrorism, along with preserving Syria’s sovereign independence.
