NC Gun Owner Blasts City Council: “When We Have These Shootings…You Want To Restrict My Rights… Instead Of Putting Blame Where It Belongs”

It’s wonderful to hear real Americans become impassioned about their God-given rights, not made up rights like men marrying men and women murdering their babies.  The latest example of this comes out of Greensboro, North Carolina as the city council there was pondering unlawful actions to restrict the God-given rights of the people it is supposed to serve.  However, one man stood up and called them out for the tyrants they truly are.

Mark Robinson, a Greensboro resident, popped in on a city council meeting earlier this week and gave them a piece of his mind over their behavior and tyranny following the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

“It seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet,” he told the city council.  “You want to turn around and restrict my rights…You want to restrict my right to buy a firearm and protect myself from some of the very people you are talking about in here tonight. The law abiding citizens of this community, of other communities we are the first ones taxed and the last ones considered.”

“I’m the majority,” he added.  “I’m a law-abiding citizen who has never shot anybody. Never committed a serious crime. Never committed a felony. I’ve never done anything like that. It seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet. You want to turn around and restrict my rights.”

If that wasn’t enough, listen to this veteran’s testimony where he calls out the hypocrisy of the city council!  It’s awesome!  It reminds me of veteran Aaron Weiss, who told the representatives of New York following the draconian NY SAFE Act passage, “My right trumps your dead.”

The city wanted to cancel a gun show in Greensboro because they were reacting emotionally to the shooting.

Mayor Nancy Vaughan, a gun confiscation advocate (that is what advocates of gun control actually are), believes that unlawful legislation that violates the rights of the people she is supposed to be protecting is the answer to shootings.

Vaughan believes that canceling the Gun and Knife Show is a small step she can take to address gun violence.

“There’s not a lot that we can do. But we don’t have to sponsor gun sales in a city-owned building,” she said.  “We are not going to cancel gun sales in the city. There are rightful gun stores. But we don’t have to do that in a city-owned building.”

Now, I’ve never heard of shooting taking place at a gun and knife show, have you?  Nope, and why is that?  It’s because anyone who would think of engaging in such crime knows they would be on a suicide mission with no hope of getting out of there alive.

Furthermore, all the lies about criminals obtaining guns at gun shows without being checked to see if they can lawfully own a firearm are nothing more than media and political lies.

Some who spoke ignorantly voiced their support of canceling the show.

“The Greensboro City Council should do everything in its power to ensure the safety of its city, which means canceling the Gun and Knife show. We all know it’s true. Big guns are for people with small minds,” one speaker said.

I’ll also ask, who is asking the mayor to “sponsor” a gun show?  No one.  Gun shows rent public facilities, and often residents of the city either come and are a part of the event or they are customers.  Who is the city to deprive them of what they paid for?

Vaughn is an anti-Second Amendment mayor.  she believes semi-automatic rifles should be banned.  She’s a Democrat, as you probably guessed.
