The New York Times executive editor called a meeting of his top editors.
He was angry and befuddled.
And little did he know the meeting was secretly taped.
The Times had suffered two humiliations.
First, it was forced by ultra-left protesters to change a headline for one of its published articles.
The headline read: “Trump Urges Unity Versus Racism.”
It was a totally accurate headline, but the far left, who now make up the core of the Times’ readership, went berserk.
The Times quickly backed down and changed the headline, making it hostile to Trump.
Then the editor admitted to his team that the Times had “built our newsroom” around the phony story of Trump collusion with Russia.
It was a powerful claim. But the Mueller report had just been released – and the claim was found to be Fake News.
Mueller concluded there was NO EVIDENCE Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
Exasperated, the Times editor announced to his staff a new theme that would drive the paper’s reporting for the final two years of the Trump presidency.
The editor bluntly told his staff they would rebuild their newsroom around – get this – Trump and the rise of white racism!
It was at that moment the Times fully committed to embrace the Woke movement and the Cancel Culture in an effort to destroy Trump.
