The IRS has posted a “NOTICE OF JUDICIAL SALE” on their website , advertising the sale of Ed and Elaine Brown’s New Hampshire properties. Ed, 73, is serving a 37-year-prison term and Elaine, 75, is serving a 35 year term- essentially life in prison for both.

The public auction will be held on 10/22/2015 at 11:00 AM.

For those interested in the ‘Open House,’ the government notes that “Preview is by appointment only, and subject to the required deposit terms.”

The government website lists the details of the sale:

  • Description of Property: Property 1: 401 Center of Town Road in Plainfield, NH –
  • House with approximately 100 acres and other out buildings.

The United States and its agencies are likely immune from suit arising out of any hazards pertaining to the property after confirmation of sale.”

The website actually includes many dozens of photographs of the interior and exterior of the Brown’s home, as well as the outbuildings, garages, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, basement, etc.

Prior to the long standoff and convictions, Ed Brown said that the law enforcement officials surrounding his properties were part of a “Zionist, Illuminati, Freemason movement,” and that the federal government had no jurisdiction in New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Union Leader also reported that “the Browns believe the IRS and the federal income tax are part of a deliberate plot perpetrated by Freemasons to control the American people and eventually the world.”

On a radio show in 2007, Ed Brown said “This is the beginning of one very huge movement. I’m not quite sure you understand the ramifications of what’s going on right now. This is massive. This is international. We are fed up with the Zionist Illuminati. That’s what this is all about. Loud and clear. Zionist Illuminati. Lawyers, whatever they are, okay, it’s going to stop.”

The photo to the right is of the Brown’s commercial property, where Mrs. Brown had her dentist office. The standoff with police at the Brown’s home was quite lengthy. It lasted from February, 2007 to October 4, 2007, when the Browns were arrested by feds posing as ‘patriot supporters.’ [Note: I remember in 2007, during the Brown ‘stand-off,’ I was at a Ron Paul Rally in Southern California and asked G. Edward Griffin what he thought about the Brown case, and he said “I salute them.” Some day I will have to dig that video footage up and post it.]

The Browns were originally only going to serve about 5 years for tax crimes, but as a result of their standoff with law enforcement they were charged with multitude of other felonies, including:

  • knowingly and willfully conspiring, by force, intimidation and threat, to prevent employees of the United States Marshals Service in the discharge of official duties in the arrest of the Browns, in violation of 18 U.S.C.  372;
  • conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States in violation of 18 U.S.C.  371 and subsections (a) and (b) of 18 U.S.C.  111;
  • carrying and possessing a firearm in connection with a crime of violence, in violation of subparagraphs (A) and (B) of paragraph (1) of subsection (c) of 18 U.S.C.  924;
  • being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of paragraph (1) of subsection (g) of 18 U.S.C.  922;
  • obstruction of justice in violation of 18 U.S.C.  1503;
  • failure to appear for sentencing, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 3146.

On July 9, 2009, Edward and Elaine Brown were found guilty on all charges. On October 2, 2009 Elaine Brown was sentenced to 35 years in a Federal prison. In January 2010, Edward Brown was sentenced to 37 years in prison. They both appealed their convictions, but their appeals were rejected. The government claims that the land migh be ‘booby-trapped,’ and that they found ‘weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and booby traps’ on the property after the Brown’s arrest.

On April 20, 2014, Elaine Brown reportedly wrote a letter from prison to her small town newspaper, apologizing for what she had done and how it affected the town.: “Regrettably, our vision was narrowed to our cause and failed to take into account the impact we were having on others in the town, especially our neighbors on Center of Town Road, and also to the Plainfield police and the town administrators. We failed to realize the fear, anxiety and impact we were causing these good people.Now, seven years later, I realize the wrong I have done to you all. One cannot do the wrong thing for the right reason….”
