One in Seven Billion or 7 Billion for One?

You know that golden rule that people refer to, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?” Do you know why they refer to it as “the golden rule?” Because, other than when they’re cursing, they don’t like to use the name by which you must be saved, Jesus, so they call it The Golden Rule instead of “An admonition of- some great advice from- Jesus, which is found in Matthew 7:12.”

Let’s just take a brief look at the advantage to every individual that would be manifested if we all followed Jesus’ admonition.

Let us recapitulate for clarity: “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” can be expressed as, “Put the concerns of others before your own.” Now, when you put your own concerns before the concerns of others, then you have one person looking out for you. But if we all decided to put others’ concerns before our own, you would have, potentially,7 billion people looking out for you. Which sounds like a better arrangement? How much safer would driving be, for instance?

To paraphrase Alexandre Dumas, “Seven billon for one and one for seven billion.”

Let us not make the mistake, though, as the collectivists are known to lust, that any of us should be forced into this arrangement, whether by government or other people. As with all things concerning the Creator, it must be a free will decision to be legitimate. This is how we know if a government is Godly or not. If a government respects free will it might well be Godly, if it compels individuals, then it is not Godly.
