IDEAL FOR KITCHEN

Product Description

PP500-IC is ideal for kitchen use.

New from Propur™, the Propur Inline Connect™ series water filtration systems, provides ultimate filtration performance with specifically designed systems for point-of-use applications including kitchen, bathroom and refrigerator/ice maker. Propur Inline Connect™ systems are easy to install by connecting directly to the kitchen/bathroom/refrigerator faucet or cold water line and do not require a separate dedicated drinking water tap or faucet. The Propur Inline Connect™ systems do not require electricity. The kitchen and bathroom systems feature a “quarter-turn-release” mechanism which shuts off the water supply for easy filter replacement, and the refrigerator system simply unscrews for filter replacement. Filter housings are made from BPA FREE plastic. All Propur Inline Connect™ systems come with the ProOne® CB series carbon block filter element with unparalleled performance for both chlorine and chloramine removal, VOC’s, lead and fluoride reduction, and more. Made from a proprietary matrix of activated carbon combined with proprietary Zeolite minerals, the ProOne® CB is structurally bound with polymers into a highly porous block filter form. This very unique absorbent will absorb a variety of organic and inorganic substances. It will reduce a wide variety of drinking water contaminants of both aesthetic and health concern. The dense pore structure and vast surface area is ideally suited to improving taste, odor and color. The ProOne® CB filter elements are eco-friendly with no costly encapsulated plastic housing to throw away.

*Scale-Protect

Polyphosphate Crystals are an economic and reliable water treatment media for potable and industrial water. It reduces the hardness in water preventing further scale up. Because of it’s phosphate and silicate content, Polyphosphate granules also inhibit corrosion by forming a thin protective layer on metal surfaces to prolong the life of pipes. Siliphos water treatment will also slowly remove existing scale in old pipes if it consists of brown scale, i.e. Iron oxide.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“A TDS Meter indicates the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of a solution, i.e. the concentration of dissolved solids in it. Since dissolved ionized solids such as salts and minerals increase the conductivity of a solution, a TDS meter measures the conductivity of the solution and estimates the TDS from that. A TDS meter typically displays the TDS in parts per million (ppm). For example, a TDS reading of 1 ppm would indicate there is 1 milligram of dissolved solids in each kilogram of water.”
TDS is a measure of total dissolved solids and NOT dissolved contaminants. A higher TDS can simply be high calcium or mineral content. As Propur™ filters are made from minerals, TDS may be higher after the water has been treated. This does not mean the filter isn’t working, it means the TDS meter is picking up the minerals that are naturally released by the filter. A PPM meter is the same as a TDS meter, it is simply measures dissolved solids in water. A TDS meter is not generally recognized in the industry as a proper means of testing water for contaminants. They were created years ago by the manufacturers of reverse osmosis systems as a means of demonstrating the effectiveness of RO which removes most if not all minerals.
