Occupy Peace to launch at noontime rally on Sept. 20

KINGSTON, N.Y. Sept. 17, 2015—On the day before the world marks the International Day of Peace, the streets of Colonial Kingston will ring with the words and music of a new and extraordinary effort for peace when global forecaster Gerald Celente and his Trends Research Institute launch Occupy Peace with a noontime rally on Sept. 20.

“Our rally will launch a new kind of peace movement, one powered by an action plan to spread and advance the core principles of Occupy Peace across the nation,” said Celente, the founder of Trends Research Institute.

The rally will feature four of the country’s best-known and most outspoken political, spiritual and health activists, headed by lifelong consumer advocate and activist Ralph Nader. Robert Thurman, one of the world’s best-known authorities on religion, alternative health authority Gary Null and anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan will also speak at the rally.

Four innovative and inclusive musical groups and performers – Joey Eppard, the Percussion Orchestra of Kingston, the Rosendale Improvement Association Brass Band and Social Club and the Saints of Swing – will provide a rich and rollicking soundtrack to the day’s proceedings, at an historic city intersection where many of the foundations of the U S Constitution were established by the state’s first legislature.

Occupy Peace is designed to resonate across the country, by providing people with practical action plans with specific goals and objectives, such as ways to hold elected officials accountable for their senseless and endless support for a war mentality.

Detailed information about the rally, the movement and how to get involved can be found at Occupypeace.us.
