      The critical question is how do we go about making sure EVERYONE in the country is either a citizen or LEGAL resident in a constitutional manner? Will VOTER ID and E-Verify help? Will requiring proper ID when applying for benefits, aid, or licenses be enough? Will requiring checks on the status of people who’re arrest also be enough? I’m not sure the above, which I strongly support, will catch all illegals, but it’s a start. However, do we want hear while walking in public the infamous phrase so often heard in the USSR and E. Germany, “PAPERS PLEASE!”? So how do we catch those below the radar as I said in a constitutional manner? By the way, as I recall, Green-card holders are required to carry the cards in public. Also, many any of the illegals here came here legally on visas but overstayed. How do we overhaul that issue? Should we require periodic in person check ins and institute serious penalties for violations?

    Homan and Morgan are both very strong in their convictions – and both served under Obama as well. I’m sure they’ll be demonized for doing their jobs and trying to protect Americans under Trump, but God bless them. Legal immigration is good. Anything beginning with the word “illegal” or “undocumented” is bad. All illegals need to go home, submit paperwork, and come back only when they are approved to come in legally. Those that chose to come illegally the first time should not be eligible for citizenship for a very long time if ever. Permanent resident alien (green card) is good, too. And ALL immigrants should be required to learn English and pay their own way. No subsidized benefits

    Dem can not stop Deporting of illegals. As long as they have not showed up for their court hearing or they already have deport papers on them and also over stay their visa. There no way Dem can stop ICE from deporting these people. If you are talking about them not having their day in court, because their date has not come up yet, then the Dem would have a case. But there is thousand here that have been severed Deporting papers and or over stay their visas. It might not be millions, but I still love the fact it will be thousands. TRUMP 2020 and I will vote for a third term for Trump.

    Why just those illegal immigrants who can’t prove they have been here two years? There are millions of illegals who have not nor have any intention of applying for citizenship or even bothering to learn English. They do not apply because they are using stolen Social Security Numbers and cashing in. They use companies who pay them under the table to avoid detection. One illegal alone had submitted income tax forms on 26 stolen Social Security numbers until he was caught two years ago. There were 13 Chinese living in one house and working in a Chinese Restaurant before they were caught so I am certain these two cases are only a drop in the bucket and the rule should be changed to all illegals and begin deportation if you want to see a great reduction in the taxes we pay to support them. That figure will boggle the minds of our citizens.
