Buttigieg Insults Our Intelligence With New Gaslighting Effort About Supply Chain Crisis

Let’s face it — politicians lie. It’s not a surprise to any of us.

But the lying of the Biden Administration is on a whole new level of lying. They completely twist all reality. If the sky is blue, they will tell you it’s green and scold you for saying otherwise. It’s that outrageous. And it shows they simply have no shame, largely because they aren’t being called out on most of their lies by the media. So, they think they can just get away with saying anything.

But I have to say that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg took lying to a whole new level during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper today, when he tried to gaslight us on the the supply chain problem being, in part, due to the what a great job Joe Biden was doing with the economy. Yes, he actually said that.

Maximum audacity:

Tapper asked Buttigieg, “Do Americans need to prepare ourselves for this to get worse before it gets better?”

The answer was essentially yes, but Buttigieg put an incredible spin on it.

“Well, certainly, a lot of the challenges that we have been experiencing this year will continue into next year,” he acknowledged.

Then, he quickly shifted,

“But there are both short-term and long-term steps that we can take to do something about it. Look, part of what’s happening isn’t just the supply side. It’s the demand side. Demand is off the charts. Retail sales are through the roof. And if you think about those images of ships, for example, waiting at anchor on the West Coast, you know, every one of those ships is full of record amounts of goods that Americans are buying, because demand is up, because income is up, because the president has successfully guided this economy out of the teeth of a terrifying recession.”

Let’s completely ignore the fact that Joe Biden hasn’t successfully guided us out of anything. He couldn’t guide anyone out of a paper bag. He’s barely able to maintain his own coherence at any given time. We are currently having inflation the likes of which we haven’t seen in years. The Consumer Price Index surged last month by 5.4 percent, compared to September 2020, the biggest jump in 13 years — and higher than had been predicted by economists.

People are having to shell out more money for the same goods, and we’re seeing empty shelves — which is why some people started calling Biden #EmptyShelvesJoe. Hardly a sign of success.

We also just got the worst jobs report of the year; in terms of new jobs, it again was far less than expected. To describe this mess as any kind of a success is just incredibly dishonest.

But this is not just Buttigieg spinning, it’s a Biden Administration talking point, since White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki tried it, too, with Tapper, claiming rising prices were because people were buying “more goods.”

Then, to claim that the supply chain problem is due to demand is to ignore all the real issues actually causing it, including the long term trucker issues that opening the ports 24/7 wouldn’t address. So, if they’re not actually talking about the real problems, how do they expect to actually solve them?

Meanwhile, Buttigieg was taking all this so seriously, he was missing in action on family leave for the past two months. He can take off for two months, but the American workers that they have left high and dry with inflation can’t really afford to do that.

Now, he comes back and is slinging this nonsense? Don’t insult our intelligence with such efforts. Don’t think you can. There’s a reason that Biden’s numbers are “sinking like the Titanic.” They tried this same kind of lying with Afghanistan, but it didn’t work there — and it isn’t going to work when it’s hitting Americans right in the wallet.
