Writes Vicki Marzullo:

This is my favorite YouTuber on raising cattle.  Greg Judy raises grass-fed cattle to sell to other farmers as livestock or grass-fed/grass-finished cattle for his own food supply or to sell to others for food. He leases extra land sometimes to enhance the grazing land.

He teaches the rotational grazing method, not only in the U.S. but all over the world.  He will also go to peoples’ farms and help them create rotational grazing for their own livestock.

In his system, after the cattle, which eat grass, go through the area, you send in the sheep (or goats, which he doesn’t own) to clean up the weeds. Then you send in the free-range chickens to eat the fly larvae and other bugs that love the manure, keeping future bug populations down.

This man is able to feed his cattle on grass even when there’s snow on the ground.  The cattle simply use their nose to move the snow and then eat the winter grass growing underneath.

This video focuses on supplying grass for cattle during a drought.  This was filmed in July.  If more farmers followed his method, people would not have to sell their cattle during droughts.
