Woman Verbally Abused While Pastors Stand by Silently Citing Romans 13
What Difference Does it Make?
Please pardon me for stealing the title from the lips of Hillary Clinton.
Today I am on my way to Ashland, Kentucky to stand with persecuted County Clerk Kim Davis. And today I find myself both discouraged and disgusted.
I am disgusted by the reaction of Christians regarding this whole homo-marriage fiasco. I am disgusted as I read posts on various Facebook pages by “Christians” who think that Kim Davis should either be fired, impeached, or resign because of her religious convictions.
And no, these are not pagans but Christians that believe she is doing something wrong. Kim Davis is standing on the authority of Scripture by declaring that marriage can never be part of a same-sex relationship, and her greatest attackers are “Christians” who side with their pagan neighbors. They believe in the lie of the separation of morality and state.
I am disgusted by the cowardly pastors who stand on the sidelines while this brave, recently-converted Christian, Kim Davis, calls the issue “life and death, heaven and hell” for her. These same doctrinal dolts are the ones who teach that Romans 13 commands absolute obedience to the Devil and his law-breaking acolytes who double as elected officials. I am disgusted that Christians believe we are powerless to do anything to change this nation. I’m disgusted that there are sanctuary cities where immigration laws are ignored but no sanctuary cities where homo-marriage decisions can be ignored.
I am disgusted that most of the lawyers on our side have been convinced that court decisions carry the weight of law. They do not. COURTS CANNOT MAKE LAW! Judicial supremacy is destroying our republic. Krytocracy is an Old Testament term meaning government by judges, and judges rule America today.
I am disgusted that most Christians neither understand nor follow the laws of God. That is why it’s no big deal for them to ignore the laws of God and follow the “laws” of government. The words legal and lawful are not the same. Something that is “unlawful” can be “legalized” but it can never be made “lawful.” Abortion is “legal” but unlawful. The same is true of homo-marriage. “Legal” refers to man-made law. Lawful refers to God-made or natural law. They are not the same. You cannot make a law against gravity any more than “legalizing” abortion makes it “lawful.” Christians are duty-bound to follow God’s law when actions that contradict His laws are made “legal.” Obey God, not man. That is precisely what Kim Davis is doing.
I am disgusted that, for the most part, Christians don’t give a damn about what is going on in our culture. As long as it doesn’t impact them, they see no reason to get upset. But it DOES affect them because it affects the CULTURE. Because of their apathy, their grandchildren will never experience the America that we were so were blessed to grow up in. I’m disgusted that they are hoping to selfishly “escape” the consequences of their apathy rather than fighting to occupy until the Lord returns.
I am discouraged that the harder I work to try and awaken people to the truth, the more immoral things seem to become.
I am discouraged that there are so few vehicles by which the lie of emergent Christianity can be exposed. Pastors jealously guard their pulpits more than they guard their flocks. Christian radio is laced with sugary, feel-good programming.
I am discouraged that Christians today still do not see the dangers of “public” schools. How could a Christian actually believe that the Humanistic schools, where Jesus is illegal, could possibly instill Christian values into their children?
I am discouraged that not 1-in-1000 pastors will speak the truth about the schools.
I am discouraged that there is virtually no “fight” left in Christianity. I am discouraged because those of us who are willing to fight are chastised and marginalized by those who should be joining us.
I am discouraged that Planned Parenthood has been exposed for the baby butchers that they are and still most pastors have not said a word about it. I am discouraged that Christians seem to have found the pro-choice position hidden somewhere within the pages of the Scriptures.
I am discouraged that when I put out a call to action most people respond that they will “pray” for us. Why won’t they join us? Praying, alone, is not action. Prayer empowers the action. Do most Christians pray for money and stay in bed, or do they pray for money and then go out and earn it? God blesses the works of your hands, not simply the prayers of your lips.
So I am disgusted and discouraged, but I am on my way to Kentucky. Though none go with me, still I will follow. Kim Davis is probably discouraged and disgusted as well, so I think I will go and stand and hold up her arms. I know the loneliness of persecution, and I understand the price of taking a stand.
Hey, maybe the rapture will occur on my way down and we won’t have to push back. Maybe Mitch McConnell and his buddy Boehner will ride to the rescue. Maybe we can’t win. Maybe our efforts will be in vain.
It sometimes seems so futile, and this is one of those times. As Hillary would say, “what difference, at this point, does it make?”
What difference does it make? I sometimes ask myself the same question. I wonder how the guys in Benghazi would answer that question.
Call me nuts, but duty calls so I am on the road again.
I’ll ask Kim Davis if my coming was worth it. I’ll let you know what she says.
