Heineken has put some writing on the side of its bottle that’s turning the heads of some conservative consumers.

Heineken has written on their bottles, in no uncertain terms, an endorsement for open borders.

Because… Reasons?

The inscription goes like this:

“Here’s to an Open World. To a world without borders or barriers. To the belief that there’s more that unites us than divides us. To finding common ground. So raise a bottle with the person next to you. Because a stranger is just a friend you haven’t had a cold Heineken with yet.”

Can you see why some folks might be mad?

This is a clear imposition of leftist beliefs, in a subtle way, on unsuspecting customers. Young Conservatives noted that Heineken actually is doing more than just the bottles — there’s a whole promotional campaign going on, including a YouTube video.

Now, Heineken is a private company, and more than within its rights to do this. In fact, as conservatives, it’s our job to back the rights of private entities to be able to say these kinds of things.

However, it’s also our job to let the money do the talking — an impact on sales might affect Heineken’s feelings about its little message on a bottle.

Maybe next time you crack open a cold one with your buddies, you pick a different brand.

I’m sure not going to keep drinking this. Who’s with me?
