From the Tom Woods Letter:

Well, Hillary Clinton — or, as I like to call her, Mrs. Sunshine — sure isn’t happy about Clarence Thomas (who is by far the best Justice on the Supreme Court, so of course she can’t stand him).

She just told Gayle King on CBS This Morning: “I went to law school with him. He’s been a person of grievance for as long as I have known him — resentment, grievance, anger.”

Now that’s rich! Hillary Clinton calling someone else a person of resentment, grievance, and anger! Mrs. Sunshine herself!

After seeing that, Glenn Greenwald helpfully shared a 2017 Reuters headline: “Hillary Clinton Points to Sexism, FBI Director, and Russia for Election Loss.” No grievance there!

Another commentator said, in reference to Hillary’s remarks, “Privileged white woman who constantly complains about others calls black man who grew up as victim of Jim Crow laws and whom you rarely, if ever, hear complaining, a ‘person of resentment, grievance, anger.’”

Not to mention: Hillary was in a different graduating class from Thomas, who wasn’t even yet a conservative at that point.

Bryan Griffin, deputy press secretary for Florida governor Ron DeSantis, intervened to share his own experience with Justice Thomas:

After I passed the bar, I stopped Clarence Thomas in a lobby in D.C. and asked him if he would do me the honor of swearing me in as a lawyer (2015). He invited me to his office at the Supreme Court the next day (after work) and spent hours with me in conversation, earnestly affording me his time and encouraging me. A friend and a law professor accompanied me. He showed us pictures from his latest vacation with his wife and fondly spoke of the love he has for her. We discussed America, and from everything he said it was clear he loves this country and the people in it….

He did not know me or owe me anything. But he afforded me incredible kindness. I am certain he extends the same to others.

He is committed to the Constitution, which is how he came to this and his other decisions. Clarence Thomas is neither angry nor resentful, and this is abundantly clear to anyone who has interacted with him in person.

Incidentally, here is a 2020 picture of Justice Thomas’ hometown:

If his success story isn’t the American Dream in action, what is?

But the establishment cares about your American Dream story only if you grow up to serve their interests. If you defy them, you are subhuman and have no story.
