Larry King has some words about his former employer, and they’re not so nice.

The veteran anchor spoke to Rick Sanchez on RT America earlier this week. During the interview, he lamented the divisive state of the country and that he thinks that Donald Trump, who he’s known for decades, would ‘like to be a dictator.’ But it was really CNN and the Media (D) that raised King’s ire — he said that no one does ‘news’ anymore.

He said that CNN ‘does Trump’ and covers him almost to the exclusion of all else and ‘made Trump the story.’

KING: CNN stopped doing news a long time ago. They do Trump. Fox is Trump TV and MSNBC is anti-Trump all the time.

You don’t see a story — there was vicious winds and storms in the Northeast the other day — not covered on any of the three cable networks, not covered. So when CNN started covering Trump — they were the first — they covered every speech he made and then they made Trump the story. So, Trump is the story in America.

Sanchez asked King if they covered Trump in the Republican primaries because they never imagined that he would win.

KING: They [CNN] covered him as a character. They carried every speech he made. They carried him more than Fox News, at the beginning. And so they built the whole thing up and the Republicans had a lot of candidates and they all had weaknesses.

Larry King had the longest-running program on CNN, ‘Larry King Live‘ which ran from 1985 until 2010.

King didn’t cover the editorializing or the bias on CNN, but hey, he did work for them for 35 years. It’s enough that he’s calling them out on not reporting news. Which is pretty bad for a 24-hour ‘News’ channel.
