Legault announces end of curfew, unvaccinated no longer able to enter stores larger than 1,500 square meters

“We’re going in the right direction but we have to remain careful,” said Legault, citing increased hospitalizations in the province.

 

Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced during a press conference on Thursday that the province-wide curfew would be lifted as of Monday, January 17.
Legault credited the measures put in place over the past few weeks, telling media today that he had good news.
“Experts tell us that the new cases have peaked,” he said. “The measures we have put in place have worked.”
“We’re going in the right direction but we have to remain careful,” said Legault, citing increasing hospitalizations in the province.
Legault also said that he was “happy to announce” that vaccination would be mandatory for large stores of more than 1,500 square meters, besides grocery stores and pharmacies.
