CEDAR PARK, Tex. (INTELLIHUB.COM) — A local police officer by the name of James Arrick was let go from the force, on indefinite suspension, after “hanging out” with another man, Jordan Benford, who is “suspected” of various sex crimes.

All of this came about when a detective found electronic photos of the officer in Benford’s cell phone after conducting a search. The pictures showed the officer hanging out with the criminal at various locations, including a park.

“We don’t allow our officers to associate with known criminals”, said the Cedar Park Police chief in an interview with KXAN.

Benford’s records indicate that he was involved in at least four different prior sexual assaults.

An arbitration hearing is set for Jan. 20, 2015.

The police chief also said, “We have a very high standard at the Cedar Park Police Department. We require honest people, we require integrity. And when trust is lost” we can no longer use that officer.
