Populist Victories in Australia Elections Leave Leftists Stunned, Polling Defied

Washington, D.C.:  Australia’s national elections over the weekend destroyed the fatal leftist narrative that populist, nationalist leaders would be soundly defeated by voters. Instead, the pollsters were left scratching their heads because of the resounding win for the conservative pro-sovereignty party.

“Watching the news roll in from Australia’s election felt a lot like 2016,” said Phyllis Schlafly Eagles President Ed Martin. “After weeks of bogus polling showing leftist victory as a foregone conclusion, voters delivered a much different agenda. Prime Minister Scott Morrison was handed the reins by patriotic Australians who want to see practical leadership in government — not liberal globalist, liberal fantasies.

“This is another great opportunity for conservatives to revel in the stunned elites and news media who are astoundingly out of touch with ordinary people.”
