A housing developer with several properties in New Jersey has warned that tenants on its properties who own, store or carry guns will face a “notice to vacate.”

RPM Development Group is the developer issuing the threats and you can just see the lawsuits that are going to pile up against that company.

The New Jersey Second Amendment Society obtained a copy of the notice that was distributed to tenants.

It reads:

Effective as of May 1, 2018 this building will be a firearm free building.  No one will be permitted to store, or carry a gun or rifle, or any other type of firearm of any kind in the building, or on the grounds.  If it is discovered that you do have a firearm of any kind on this property, you will receive a Notice to Cease, followed by a Notice to Vacate.

On top of the lawsuits, also consider the property owners just declared to all the criminals in the area that these people are prime targets for robbery, rape and other crimes since they are assumed to have no superior fire power to fight off such criminals.

The notice said if tenants had questions about the un-American notice that they should contact David. S. Steinberg, Esq., RPM’s General Counsel at 973-744-5410, ext. 150.

I wonder how many will be informing Mr. Steinberg of a pending lawsuit and warning him that if criminal activity occurs and a tenant loses their life in the incident due to the un-American policies of RPM what kind of liability the company will have in the death of one of their tenants, seeing that they are not saying they will provide any security to their properties.

Duncan Johnson of Ammoland adds:

We were made aware that this sign was posted at RPM’s Richardson Lofts at 50 Columbia Street, Newark NJ. A search of RPM’s available properties shows they have multiple properties and buildings throughout NJ.

We are interested to see what criminals will think of this silly sign and policy. Given that all of Newark is a gun-free zone (yet leads the state with the highest level of crime and violence) we are confident these signs and policy will only attract rapists, murderers, and gang members. We are sure they will abide by RPM’s policy and not commit any crimes (with guns) now that they know their tenants are defenseless.

Feel free to reach out to RPM to let them know how you feel about their discriminatory and clearly unconstitutional policy:

Johnson also informs readers that attorneys are already working to reverse the policies in order to avoid future legal action.

See?  I told you.  This is going to get really bad for RPM.  People are having their fill.

Sadly, when it comes to issues like this, we not only have government to be concerned with, but now we have companies to also battle.
