LET’S GO BRANDON!

This is a cheer that has been booming across America from putative conservatives, MAGA-ites and people who just can no longer be quiet regarding the fact that Joe Biden was President and probably only by- let’s say extra-Constitutional means- or cheating.  Biden and all cheaters deserve our scorn.

Now, we know that the above is code for F#%K JOE BIDEN! and chanted by people who are too polite to chant the ACTUAL MESSAGE containing its blue expletive, so use the CODE MESSAGE.  I will give the hateful left this point:  They’ll use the words they mean when they want to.  (Sure, they’ll say contributions instead of taxes, products of conception or unviable tissue mass instead of unborn baby, but they don’t mince blue words.)

And Representative Higgins, I have agreed with so much you have said and will defend to the death your right to say it,* but what you recently said, as a representative of Constitutional government, is not defensible.

Here is your post on X:

“I’m going to use Congressional authority and every influence with big tech platforms to mandate immediate ban for life of every post or commenter that belittled the assassination of Charlie Kirk. If they ran their mouth with their smartass hatred celebrating the heinous murder of that beautiful young man who dedicated his whole life to delivering respectful conservative truth into the hearts of liberal enclave universities, armed only with a Bible and a microphone and a Constitution… those profiles must come down.

So, I’m going to lean forward in this fight, demanding that big tech have zero tolerance for violent political hate content, the user to be banned from ALL PLATFORMS FOREVER. I’m also going after their business licenses and permitting, their businesses will be blacklisted aggressively, they should be kicked from every school, and their drivers licenses should be revoked. I’m basically going to cancel with extreme prejudice these evil, sick animals who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

I’m starting that today.

That is all.

If running your mouth- even manifesting stupid beyond moronic- isn’t protected, nothing is.  No, they cannot figure themselves protected if they foment violence, call for violence, scream “FIRE” in any crowded movie house, but you gotta let the twisted fools identify themselves for us.  If you stop them from this, who knows what we will be stopped from someday.

Maybe chanting LET’S GO [Fill in the name of cheater]!

While I’m at it, let’s consider the idea of banning transgender people from owning or possessing firearms.  Really?  If that’s a good start, who’s next?  It’s bad enough that we already need a PERMIT to keep and BEAR arms to be able to do so without being in danger of arrest, but President Trump floating the idea that firearms possession can be infringed because of transgenderism won’t be the last infringement.  That is, if transgendered people have not otherwise committed a crime which would cause them to forfeit the right to keep and bear arms, they have the right to do so.

*  And the fact that you might be able to influence people by virtue of elective office, saying you will be “going after their business licenses and permitting, their businesses will be blacklisted aggressively, they should be kicked from every school, and their drivers  licenses should be revoked.” is prima-facie evidence that government has usurped the Constitution and unjustly taken power from the people who will be glad to refrain from patronizing the businesses of this sort.  Let the haters- of any stripe- identify themselves and watch their businesses crumble.  If you, as a Y person owning a restaurant want to keep X persons out, you should be able to, that is what property is, but I, and millions like me, upon learning that, won’t patronize your business.

If you have not yet deleted that post and thought through your threats, please do, Representative Higgins.
