US War with Iran on Multiple Fronts

It’s been ongoing since the Carter administration, ebbing and flowing, raging under Bush/Cheney, receding under Obama, in overdrive under Trump.

In days, he’s expected to pull out of the JCPOA nuclear deal. What took years to consummate, an international treaty agreed to by seven countries, he looks set to rescind with a stroke of his pen, along with reimposing nuclear related sanctions Iran won’t tolerate.

On Sunday, its President Rouhani warned “(i)f the United States opts to pull out of the JCPOA, you will soon see the historic remorse which the move will bring about for” Washington, adding:

“Orders have been issued to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and a few days ago, I spoke with senior officials of the organization about the programs ahead.”

“Our path is quite clear. The economic sector has also received the necessary orders.”

“Every decision that Trump takes, we have a plan and program to counter him and resist. Our nation is a free, brave, and persistent nation, and our enemies, God willing, will be brought to shame with their plots.”

“We want peace and stability for the region. We tell the world we do not favor wars and tensions, but we are determined in defending our interests and we will stand against any conspiracy.”

US judicial war on Iran rages. Days earlier, a right-wing federal judge ruled on a lawsuit claiming Tehran trained so-called 9/11 hijackers.

No evidence links Iran to what I call the mother of all false flags, alleged crazed Arabs having nothing to do with the 9/11 incident.

CIA dirty hands were responsible, Mossad operatives maybe complicit with them. Iran had nothing to do with what happened on that fateful day, launching another century of endless US wars of aggression – at home and abroad.

On April 30, US Southern District Court of New York Judge George Daniels found “the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran” liable for 9/11 deaths, awarding over $6 billion to plaintiffs – an amount possibly to be seized from frozen Iranian assets, grand theft if ordered.

The lawsuit is similar but not linked to one by families of 9/11 victims against Saudi Arabia. The kingdom is guilty of numerous high crimes, not the 9/11 one.  

In a separate year-ago ruling, a US federal judge ordered Iran to pay $11 billion to families of 9/11 victims.

At the time, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif denounced the ruling, say he “lost respect for US justice,” calling the judgment against the Islamic Republic “the height of absurdity.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned the latest ruling, calling it “politically charged and unacceptable,” rewriting history, continuing war on Iran by other means.

Addressing the so-called Iran Freedom Convention on Saturday, former New York mayor, Trump legal advisor Rudy Giuliani said Trump “is as committed to regime change (in Iran) as we are.”

His war cabinet was hardened for this and other aggressive purposes. “With Secretary of State Pompeo now on his right hand and his national security advisor John Bolton…on his left side, what do you think is going to happen to that agreement, that nuclear agreement.” Giuliani asked?

Reneging on it would be further proof that Washington can never be trusted, North Korea taking note ahead of a Kim Jong-un Trump summit later in May or June – the date and location set, according to the president, to be announced ahead.

If Washington pulls out of the JCPOA and reimposes nuclear-related sanctions, Iran is likely to restore its pre-deal nuclear activities, heightening the risk of conflict between both countries.
