PARIS (LifeSiteNews) — First Lady Jill Biden believes the anti-Christian opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics was “spectacular.”

Biden is in France attending the games with a delegation from the U.S. that includes Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, among others.

Biden made her remarks during a brunch in Paris on Monday that was celebrating the upcoming 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

“So, last night, it was just spectacular,” Biden said. “The rain did not dampen our spirits. Every step of the way, I was thinking to myself, ‘Oh my god, oh my god. How are we going to top this?’”

This year’s opening ceremony has been rebuked by a growing number of prominent public figures, politicians, and religious leaders, primarily due to its blasphemous depiction of the Last Supper.

“This was disrespectful to Christians,” X CEO Elon Musk said.

This is “seemingly Satanic,” Donald Trump Jr. remarked. “Using the games to push woke ideology has zero to do with anything the games stand for.”

Bishop Joseph Strickland called the event a “new low for our human community.”

While many other Catholic clergy have rebuked the event and called for boycotts and reparations to be made, Pope Francis has refused to do so thus far.

Biden and her husband Joe have taken many steps to advance left-wing and LGBT causes for many years. In 2008, she joined Michelle Obama in criticizing then-GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, R-AZ, whose wife, Cindy, had said that abortion was not a major issue for voters. Jill Biden said that supporting abortion was something “I think [is] very important, personally.”

In 2012, Biden told students at Colorado College that “we’ve fought so hard for Roe v. Wade, for access to contraception, and equal rights.”

As First Lady, while wearing a rosary, she told students during a trip to Africa in February 2023 to use contraception. On “International Women’s Day” last year, she bestowed an award to a gender-confused Argentinian man, for which she was roundly mocked by social conservatives. At the 2024 State of the Union address, Biden invited a woman who destroyed her preborn daughter who had trisomy 18 in a late-term abortion.

The choreographer of the opening ceremony was Thomas Jolly, a 42-year-old homosexual Jewish man who works in the art industry as an actor and theater director. Pro-homosexual website PinkNews relates that he has “explored LGBTQ+ themes in his stage work.” He claimed that he wanted to make sure “everyone feels represented” in the ceremony.

Biden’s praise for Jolly’s anti-Christian efforts echoes comments made by French President Emmanuel Macron, who also acclaimed Jolly for his “creative genius.”

Olympic organizers have since issued a half-hearted apology for the ceremony, saying they were sorry “if anyone was offended.”
