(Support Free Thought) – Briefly after announcing that he will stop his treatment for brain cancer, Senator John McCain died on Saturday. Since that moment, the media has devoted round the clock coverage of his life, praising him as a hero and honoring his “service to the country.”

While it is certainly a sad day for McCain’s family, the media response to a man whose tenure in Washington arguably led to the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent civilians through the wars he begged to start, proves the Orwellian point that the media is devoted to and solely supports those who worship war and tyranny.

McCain constantly advocated for a foreign policy that has yielded death, displacement, and regional chaos on an unprecedented and massive scale. What’s more, his interventionism in countries throughout the Middle East over the last several decades has acted as steroid shot in the arm to the very Islamic radicalism he assured us he was fighting against.

Highlighting the sheer mind-controlling power the establishment’s narrative has over the thoughts of Americans, even the staunch antiwar democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to declare her admiration for the man who had a eulogy written for him by a weapons company for whom he made billions.

John McCain’s legacy represents an unparalleled example of human decency and American service.

As an intern, I learned a lot about the power of humanity in government through his deep friendship with Sen. Kennedy.

He meant so much, to so many. My prayers are with his family.

While we won’t stomp on the man’s grave by celebrating his death as others have done, TFTP will certainly not celebrate his life which has caused so much suffering. The mainstream media, on the other hand, certainly will.

Consequently, as they focused their coverage to idolizing McCain, some particularly important stories that deserved coverage were swept under the rug. Below is a list of five important stories that the mainstream media missed while obsessing over the champion of the warfare state.

RUSSIA OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES ‘TIME HAS COME…TO GET RID OF THE DOLLAR’

As the United States continues to pile on an ever-growing list of sanctions on to Russia, the country is fighting back by abandoning the US dollar. Although they have been expressing their desire to break away from the hegemony of the U.S. petrodollar and the global dollar-based payment systems for years, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, said this week that they are accelerating those efforts, to “get rid of the dollar.”

“THE TIME HAS COME WHEN WE NEED TO GO FROM WORDS TO ACTIONS, AND GET RID OF THE DOLLAR AS A MEANS OF MUTUAL SETTLEMENTS, AND LOOK FOR OTHER ALTERNATIVES,” HE SAID IN AN INTERVIEW WITH INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS MAGAZINE.

VEGAS SHOOTER’S GIRLFRIEND REPORTEDLY LISTED FBI AS PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT

A bombshell revelation in regard to the massacre that took place last October in Las Vegas has surfaced this week, suggesting that Stephan Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley could’ve been an FBI asset. According to a credit application, as reported by True PunditDanley listed the FBI as an employer.

According to the publicly available intelligence obtained from a consumer credit reporting bureau, Danley claimed she previously worked at the FBI. While anyone can certainly claim anyone else as an employer, according to True Pundit, they contacted the FBI who said their “bosses are concerned” over this revelation.

DETECTIVE PUBLISHES BOOK EXPOSING HIGH-LEVEL GOVERNMENT PEDOPHILE RING AND IS SHOT IN THE HEAD DAYS LATER

former police detective, and author of a bombshell book that exposed a massive pedophile ring made up of high-level government officials was found shot in the head last week. While officials are calling it an apparent suicide, his family is claiming that he told them he would never kill himself and that people were after him because he was about to expose even more high-level government pedophilia.

Mark Minne, author of the controversial book ‘The Lost Boys of Bird Island’ devoted his post-police life to exposing the corruption and horrifying pedophilia he discovered while working as a detective. Minnie and his good friend Chris Steyn, also a former cop turned investigative journalist, worked together on the book to expose a government and business community who took children to Bird Island where they were abused, and some possibly murdered.

The book was published earlier this month on August 5 and only nine days later, Minnie would be found dead. Officials claim they found a suicide note at the scene, but his family says they don’t believe it at all.

Tersia Dodo, a family member of Minnie told reporters that just days before he died that if anything happened to him, they must know he was killed.

STATE SENATE PASSES LANDMARK BILL TO ERASE CRIMINAL RECORDS OF PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR CANNABIS

California is now one step closer to wiping away old cannabis convictions, after lawmakers in the state voted on a bill this week that would retroactively erase the charges. Although, if a person was convicted of a felony, they will only be able to get their charge dropped to a misdemeanor. Also, the legislation is still awaiting Gov. Jerry Brown’s signature to officially become law, but he is expected to sign off on the bill.

The bill was introduced by Democratic Assemblyman Rob Bonta earlier this year and quickly passed through the house. Then on Wednesday, the bill passed the state’s senate with overwhelming support of 22-8.

The text of the bill specifies that the state Department of Justice is to examine cases that took place between 1975 and 2016 to check for eligibility. It is estimated that there are nearly 220,000 cases which will either be eligible for a full expungement or a reduction from felony to misdemeanor.

BURNING MAN THREATENING TO SUE FEDS FOR TURNING FESTIVAL INTO UNCONSTITUTIONAL POLICE STATE

As The Free Thought Project reported earlier this week, police from various agencies were more aggressive than ever with searches of Burning Man attendees who were on their way to the festival this year.

Police in the region told reporters that they have orders from the federal government to target cars that are on their way to Burning Man and search them for drugs. Organizers of the festival have responded to these reports with a letter to federal officials threatening a lawsuit if the traffic stops continue.

The letter cited “improper and apparently unconstitutional behavior” on the behalf of multiple police agencies.

Although, they have yet to sue, there are still reports coming in which will help to prove their case after the festival is over.

Now, these major stories have all been glossed over as the media and government alike celebrate the epitome of the US establishment, and somehow, Americans still wonder why peace is so damn hard to come by.
