American Medical Association Calls for Nationwide Ban of All Assault Rifles and High Capacity Guns

While lawmakers push for the ATF to go after gun dealers, the American Medical Association is now proposing the nation’s most restrictive ban on guns.
Private gun sales take place all of the time without forcing law-abiding citizens to get permission from their sheriff to do so. Selling grandpa’s shotgun under the new proposals would be impossible. Adding to the lunacy of the proposals is the fact that Americans cannot defend themselves when they travel across state lines.
For example, a law-abiding Arizonan currently cannot take their handgun to California to keep their families safe while traveling. A national right-to-carry permit is what is needed to ensure law-abiding citizens do not instantly become felons when going on vacation. Such freedoms are under threat if the AMA and gun-grabbing, gun-hating lawmakers have their way.
With the AMA now calling for the most restrictive gun control measures the country has ever seen, and proposals empowering the ATF to go after gun dealers, in the very near future, few Americans could hardly expect to be able to waltz into a local Walmart, buy a shotgun, and put deer meat on the dinner table. Unless, of course, they wish to be subjected to a national watch list, having their criminal, health, psychological, and social backgrounds scrutinized, and the decision of whether or not they can buy a gun be approved by artificial intelligence—hypothetically speaking, of course. In other words, the AMA and members of the government want more control over your already afforded constitutional rights.
The slow and steady methodical chipping away at constitutional rights is taking place all across the country with disastrous results in gun-free-zones, such as Chicago. Guns are banned there already, yet criminals enjoy freely killing, maiming, and injuring law-abiding citizens at will. Why? Because law-abiding Americans are defenseless against criminals with guns. Such propositions by lawmakers and a medical association—which should be more focused on expunging antidepressants and other psychotropics known to cause gun violence, mass murder, and suicides—are further proof that, as The Free Thought Project has reported, “They are coming for your guns.”
