New Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin pushed to ban mask mandates and critical race theory in schools during his first joint assembly address.

The words were a refreshing contrast with the leftist talking point of his predecessor in the Commonwealth State.

“Virginia’s parents want our history, all of our history, the goo and the bad, to be taught and they want their children to be taught how to think, not what to think,” Youngkin said.

“We should not be teaching our children to see everything through a lens of race,” he added.

Youngkin also empowered parents through his bold words.

“It’s parents that should decide the health measures taken for their children. That’s why I signed an executive order that allows parents to opt out of mask mandates in schools. This is a matter of individual liberty,” he said.

Democrats were silent, but conservatives in Youngkin’s state and nationwide are rejoicing at the new common sense approach of a politician following through on his campaign promises.

He also pledged support to oppose Biden’s vaccine mandate for health worker as the state fights its own staffing crisis.

The words mark a new day in Virginia, a state where many of D.C.’s politicians live and will now face the changes of conservative leadership on a daily basis. Check out the video for the full details.
