A Hungry World Pays for Popped Ethanol Bubble
The USUSG‘s (United States Un-elected Supra Government) ethanol scam was intuitively wrong when we started writing about it nine years ago. It seemed then about as obvious as Bernard Madoff’s Ponzi scheme and that food shortages and high prices would be its legacy. “The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007,” also called the “Clean Energy Act,” was passed and signed by Republican George W. Bush with broad support from Democrats in Congress.
Now, ethanol production is a giant, subsidized, food-destroying industry that is going broke. There are those in USUSG who will want to prop it up. We are told by establishment Bloomberg News that almost one billion gallons of this 190 proof, denatured booze sits unwanted in US storage tanks, subsidized at every level by the American taxpayer.
A good use of this surplus would be to pour a quart or two down the throat of every politician and farm lobbyist who forced us to buy and burn this non-fuel in our vehicles and who built this unwanted industry at the expense of doubling food prices, from corn flakes to hamburger. We should be asking the presidential aspirants Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton what they would do to end all subsidies for ethanol and requirements that we use it.
