Governor DeSantis Suspends ‘Soros-Backed’ Prosecutor for ‘Ignoring’ Florida Law

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis suspended Florida state attorney Andrew Warren, a “Soros-funded” state prosecutor for “neglect of duty” as he failed to enforce laws dealing with crime and regulating abortion. The Governor said that State Attorneys must prosecute crimes according to Florida law and “not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda.” Warren will be replaced by Judge Susan Lopez. Perhaps the Florida governor’s bold move could inspire other governors to rid their states of Soros-connected elected officials.
Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday suspended a “Soros-funded” state prosecutor from office for “neglect of duty.”
Upon issuing the Executive Order of Suspension, DeSantis explained, “State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda.”
According to the governor, Florida state attorney Andrew Warren of the 13th Judicial Circuit specifically failed to enforce laws dealing with crime and regulating abortion.
Warren was suspended under Article IV, Section 7 of the Florida Constitution.
