Eight years after his death, the immortal words of Carlin live on in YouTube videos, audio books, CDs, DVDs, and even on VHS. However, no new material has come out since his death — until now.

Last week, the Free Thought Project spoke with Jeff Abraham, who represented Carlin the last 11 years of his remarkable life.

“George’s daughter, Kelly, brought in someone last year to go through the Carlin Archives and see if there was material suitable for release,” Abraham told the Free Thought Project. “And this became the first one.”

A sample of the audio was released last week, highlighting Carlin’s “darkest” material, titled I Kinda Like It When A Lotta People Die.

However, Vulture.com was given another snippet — a far more powerful one.

In the brief clip, Carlin rails against cops, noting that “you don’t help the police. They are not on your side.”

While some of the clip is obvious hyperbole, there is truth in what Carlin says. We will link to examples of what Carlin mentions in the transcript below, just to help him prove his point.

“Don’t you understand this shit yet? They work for the state.” — Police have no legal duty to protect you.

“They’ll plant fake evidence.” — On countless occasions police have been caught planting evidence to frame people. Cops even note that “Planting Evidence And Lying” Are Just “Part Of The Game.”

“They’ll put a loaded gun in the hands of an unarmed man they shot to death.” — The gun police alleged a 19-year-old Mary Hawkes aimed at a cop, which led him to fatally shoot her, after he’d turned off his body cam, had no fingerprints or DNA, and police have known this for two years.

“They harass minorities” — The UN council on human rights has pointed out that American police are far more interested in arresting minorities than going after high-level criminals.

“They brutalize people.” — Case in point, quite literally thousands of examples.

“They deny people their rights.” — All too often police ignore and violate individual rights. Even the rights of innocent people.

“They lie about it all in court. They perjure themselves routinely.” — Police are caught all the time lying on reports and in court.

“But they don’t squeal on each other. They’re not rats.” — This is the truth. Police will go to great extents to protect their own — even when their own have lied, brutalized, or killed. In the rare instance that a good cop crosses the blue line and calls out the crimes of their fellow officers, they are harassed, fired, beaten, stalked, or worse.

After listening to the clip below, you’ll know why it took 15 years for this audio to be released.
