Oh, sweet irony! Maybe all of the gun control nuts that have permeated our lives should take a page out of their own book and use background checks to make it more difficult for people in glass houses to throw their stones.

As we all know, the March for Our Lives virtue signaling event happened this past Saturday, and the event’s organizers decided it would be a good idea to have someone who accepted a plea for weapons charges perform at an anti-gun event.

Chicago rapper Vic Mensa performed at the March for Our Lives event on Saturday. The only problem is that Mensa was arrested in 2017 on firearms charges.

According to TMZ:

The Roc Nation rapper was stopped in Beverly Hills last week for running a stop sign and having tinted windows … according to law enforcement sources. We’re told he informed cops he had a gun in his car and showed them his concealed carry permit. The problem is … cops say the permit is for another state.

According to the police report … Vic was arrested and booked on a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon. After one night in jail, he was released on $35,000 bail.

After copping a plea deal, Mensa received two years probation and a $500 fine. The second charge of having an out-of-state concealed carry license was dropped.

On a side note, at the beginning of Mensa’s “performance” he pushed the narrative of cops targeting black people.

“This song is dedicated to Stephon Clark, to Decynthia Clements and all the unarmed black men and women killed by police weapons,” Mensa said. “Until all of us are free, none of us will be free.”

Who’s not free? Did some kind of targeted persecution of people come back to the U.S. recently that I don’t know about? It’s time to get a grip on reality.

No word on whether Mensa has called for an end to the overwhelming black-on-black violence in his hometown of Chicago.
