Plane passenger captures scale of Maui wildfires

The island of Maui can be seen engulfed in flames in video shot from a passenger plane flying overhead.

Firefighters are still battling to contain wildfires on the Hawaiian island, which began on Tuesday.

A look at Lahaina before and after the destruction

We’ve put together some before and after images to show the widespread destruction in Lahaina.

A 120-year-old inn has been reduced to ashes, alongside most homes and businesses on the town’s seafront.
