Restaurants, Gyms Sue New York City Mayor for Vaccine Mandate

The Independent Restaurant Association along with several restaurants and gyms are suing New York City and its Mayor Bill de Blasio for his executive order mandating vaccines for indoor activities. Earlier this month de Blasio announced what is essentially a city-wide vaccine passport. Customers are required to show proof of at least one inoculation to engage in a number of popular indoor activities, such as dining, exercising and attending performances. Employees of those venues are also required to be vaccinated. Enforcement is slated to start September 13. -GEG
