Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is apparently weighing her options as she considers her next political career move.

According to the Daily Caller, Greene is said to be contemplating whether to become former President Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate or make a bid for the U.S. Senate in 2026.

The outlet also said she has yet to decide whether to run against Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) or perhaps take a Cabinet position within a new Trump administration.

She said it would be “an honor” to be Trump’s veep choice, adding she’d consider being his running mate “very, very heavily.”

“I haven’t made up my mind whether I will do that or not,” Greene said, according to the paper. “I have a lot of things to think about. Am I going to be a part of President Trump’s Cabinet if he wins? Is it possible that I’ll be VP?”

Greene additionally criticized Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who has fueled speculation about a potential Senate bid in 2026, over his response to the fourth indictment of Trump, which stemmed from charges filed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Kemp asserted on Tuesday the 2020 election “was not stolen” from Trump in his state.

“The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen. For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward – under oath – and prove anything in a court of law. Our elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair and will continue to be as long as I am governor. The future of our country is at stake in 2024 and that must be our focus,” said Kemp on X, formerly Twitter.

Kemp predicted in July that Trump would lose Georgia if he received the Republican presidential nomination and continued to emphasize his claims of a rigged election.

“Quit looking back at the 2020 election. I mean, for goodness sakes, that was two-and-a-half, three years ago now,” Kemp said. “The American people want to know what are you gonna do for me to help me offset the bad policies of Joe Biden.”

Greene said: “His message should have been against this, not arguing with President Trump about the election and making it about his own ego and pride over Georgia’s election. That’s a bad statement, and I was very upset over it.”

Kemp met with key members of Senate GOP leadership on Capitol Hill in mid-July, sparking Georgia Republicans to speculate that he’s weighing a bid in 2026 once his second term ends. The governor has maintained that he’s solely focused on keeping Georgia red in 2024.

Republicans in Georgia have struggled over the last few Senate cycles to keep their incumbent seats, which both are now held by Democrats. All other statewide elected officials and both chambers of the state legislature are controlled by the GOP.

Greene, who is presently seeking re-election, decisively won her race in both 2020 and 2022, as noted by Ballotpedia. Kemp triumphed over Democrat Stacey Abrams twice in gubernatorial races, winning by a margin of 1.4 points in 2018 and 7.5 points in 2022. In 2020, Ossoff secured victory by a narrow margin, defeating Republican incumbent GOP Sen. David Perdue with a tally of 50.6% to 49.4%.

Earlier this summer, Greene encouraged House Republicans to file articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and called for expanding the list of people at Biden’s Department of Justice who the GOP-led House should impeach as well.

The fiery Georgia Republican said that Attorney General Merrick Garland should be impeached along with U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves.

She knocked the AG in a recent tweet over his “refusal to prosecute Joe and Hunter Biden while persecuting President Trump and many conservatives is grounds for impeachment.” She added: “It’s absolutely unacceptable to allow these criminals to maintain power.”
