A man pretending to be an IRS agent left a threatening voicemail for a Eau Claire, Wisc., police officer — and the police department decided to call and scam him back.

Eau Claire Police Department posted the outcome on Facebook, showing Officer Kyle Roder giving the so-called IRS agent a taste of his own medicine.

Officer Kyle Roder called the number and asked, “Hello, is this the IRS? It said to call this number, you said I had committed a fraud or something?”

Things get humorous quickly, as the scammer, unaware he was about to be scammed, asked for a case number. When Roder said he wasn’t given one, the “agent” says he can look Roder up by his address.

“But you said you’re going to issue a warrant for me and come to my house,” Roder said. “If you don’t have my address, how are you going to do that?”
