New York’s new law allows immigrants to use foreign-issued documents to prove their identity and age and does not require a valid Social Security number to obtain a driver’s license. There now are 15 states that allow illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, New Mexico, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.
