As I reported yesterday, a fugitive banker who staged his death was arrested after he was pulled over for having window tint that was too dark. Now it has been revealed that he had a large marijuana growing operation in his rental home, the grow room was discovered after police conducted a search of the house following the arrest.
Aubrey Lee Price, who was arrested in southeast Georgia on Tuesday, was allegedly renting property near Ocala, Fla., according to a Marion County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Police went to the property on Jacksonville Road, after the property owner discovered several marijuana plants growing in a garage, according to the report.
They found 225 marijuana plants that were being grown inside the garage and in a mobile home that was also on the property allegedly being rented by Price. His home address is listed on the report as being in Bradenton, Fla.
After his disappearance, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution spoke with clients who didn’t think Price’s suicide was authentic.
