Obama’s Endless Lies Will Not Save Obamacare

“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” – Abraham Lincoln
The longer I’ve waded in the cesspool of politics, the more I’ve come to realize just how deep it is. The depth of a lie is infinite, and it’s arms welcoming. Our country has become so ravaged by the incessant immorality of liberalism, that we cannot tell the truth from a lie. We are lost in an ever expanding landscape of darkness, where light has no authority.
More than any other president before him, Barack Obama tells a good lie. He doesn’t simply state an untruth, he uses truthful information as the skeleton upon which his lies are structured. That way, it becomes difficult to catch him. He’s the lucky charms leprechaun of politics.
Obama has proclaimed to America the success of Obamacare. Apparently, 7.1 million Americans signed up for the socialized medical scam. Right on target!
“7.1 million Americans have now signed up for private insurance plans through these market places. 7.1! Yep…The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”
The millions of Americans who—frighteningly enough—have no distrust of the Obama administration, or the media will simply accept the Obama success story. They will go about their days actually believing that Obamacare succeeded. They will not question, they will not attempt their own research, they will take Obama at his word. Let’s take a look at those numbers. Oh wait, the Obama administration won’t provide them. How odd. If the Obamacare sign-up has really been so successful, why aren’t we allowed to see a breakdown? Because it’s a deception.
According to John Sexton, of Breitbart:
“The McKinsey survey found that just 27 percent of sign ups were previously uninsured. Yesterday the LA Times revealed details from an unpublished RAND corp. survey which found that ‘about one-third’ of all sign-ups were previously uninsured…If we assume, best case, that 33 percent of the 7.1 million were previously uninsured, that works out to to about 2.3 million people. But as we all know by now, not everyone who signs up actually pays. The McKinsey survey found that previously uninsured people were far less likely to pay. In fact, just 53 percent followed through. To be generous, let’s assume they bring this up to 80 percent. That means the total number of enrolled but previously uninsured people will be about 1.85 million.”
Obama, and the Democrats want us to believe that the 7.1 million who signed up for Obamacare were previously uninsured. That’s the implication, that Obamacare has succeeded in its quest to provide the needy with the healthcare they deserve. Considering that there are an estimated 48.6 million uninsured, 1.85 million represents about 3.81% of the uninsured American population. Well, 3.81% is better than nothing? If the administration were honest, they would not be touting their 7.1 million enrollees.
The alleged intent of the ACA was to provide those who were uninsured with insurance, so they could afford medical care. Given that intent, it seems quite disingenuous to tout 7.1 million enrollees as a success story when less than 4% of the nation’s previously uninsured are now covered.
What qualifies as success here? That some of the 5 million Americans whose plans were cancelled because of Obamacare have now signed up for Obamacare? That premiums are skyrocketing? That doctors are bailing? That the repeatedly promised annual savings of $2,500 turned out to be a lie? That we can’t keep our doctors? How about any of the numerous lies told to us by Obama, and his administration? Are those the measures by which we should judge success? In the face of all these questions, 7.1 million enrollees—less than 2 million of whom were the previously uninsured Obama wanted so badly to have a better life—doesn’t sound so good.
The celebration will continue because Obama has a stranglehold on the American people through his proxy, the media. We will be treated to endless stories about how the evil Republicans want a world in which the poor get vaporized by giant lasers, or some such ridiculousness. We might as well be in a fairy tale, in which Obama is Snow White, and the Republicans are the evil witch, intent on destroying him. That’s the environment that has been created.
But you know what? You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. We will not be fooled, and we will not let this go. Obamacare is damaging, and dangerous, both economically, and socially. You can ra ra all you want, but the truth will not be hidden.
The depths of the cesspool may be infinite, but we’re great swimmers.
