President Donald Trump is still leading by big numbers in the presidential primary polls these days, edging out potential political rivals and declared GOP candidate Nikki Haley by wide margins.

According to a new poll from Harvard Caps Harris, Trump gained another 5 points over the primary field of contenders, jumping to 46 percent of support among GOP voters, while Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., dropped to 23 percent.

That is a 5-point drop for DeSantis in their poll.

Yet another astounding survey from Big Village CARAVAN Political Poll found that Trump netted 50.2 percent of support among Republicans for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination compared to DeSantis’s 23.6 percent.

In a head-to-head face-off, Trump reigned victorious over DeSantis with a staggering 61 percent of support against DeSantis’s 39 percent.

President Trump commented on the Big Village poll, noting the increasing margins between himself and a field of hypothetical rivals.

“Just took a very big lead in the Polls,” he wrote. “People want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and fast. Right now, we are a Nation in Decline! Donald J. Trump – 50%, Ron DeSanctimonious – 24%, Mike Pence – 9%, Nikki Haley – 7%, Ted Cruz – 4%. Head to head: Donald J. Trump – 61%. Thank you!”

Former U.N. ambassador and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley announced her bid for president last week. “Get excited!” she wrote on Twitter. “Time for a new generation. Let’s do this!”

Haley has consistently polled at well under 10 percent of GOP support. So far, she is the only Republican to announce their candidacy other than President Trump.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has not yet officially announced a bid for president, and it is still unclear if he actually will, despite rumors and speculation.

DeSantis has refused to confirm what his plans are. In mid-February, when asked if he would run for president or not, he simply laughed and replied, “Wouldn’t you like to know!”
