WATCH: Caravan Member Hopes President Trump Will Pardon His Attempted Murder Conviction

While marching towards the Unites States southern border a member of the migrant caravan revealed to Fox News that he was fleeing the country of Honduras after committing attempted murder.
As reported by The Daily Caller, In an interview that aired Sunday, Fox News’ Griff Jenkins talked to a man named Jose with the help of a translator. Jose revealed his criminal past and said he is traveling with the caravan to enter the U.S., with the hope of receiving a pardon.

“In my country, Honduras, I got in trouble,” he said.
When Jenkins asked what crime he committed, Jose apparently replied in Spanish that he committed a third degree felony.
“Attempted murder,” Jose added in Spanish.

Another member who was interviewed last week by Fox News told the reporter, “Criminals are everywhere. It’s criminals in here. It is. But it is not that many. It is good people here trying to get through Mexico and then get to the United States. It doesn’t mean that everybody is a criminal.”

One week ago both the media and Democrats ignored reports from Tyler Q. Houlton, The Department of Homeland Security’s spokesman who issue a statement identifying that there are individuals within the caravan who are gang members or have significant criminal histories.

“.@DHSgov can confirm that there are individuals within the caravan who are gang members or have significant criminal histories,” his tweet read.
As more of these reports surface, it’s becoming more clear that the DHS was correct in their assessment.
These claims also back up claims made by President Trump that there are criminals scattered throughout he migrant caravan.
“Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency [sic].”
