Obama Receives Shocking Message From Brother of Oregon Shooting Victim
October 15, 2015 in News by RBN
If you or your family member were a victim in Oregon what do you think you’d want to tell Obama?
Do you think you’d ask him to come up with some more “common sense” gun laws?
Or maybe you’d ask him to ban guns altogether?
If you’re reading this the answer is probably “No,” you wouldn’t dare think to ask Obama how he could restrict your freedoms even more.
Well the brother of one of the victims at the shooting in Oregon is a lot like you. And after it was confirmed Obama might be headed to Roseburg, OR he had something he wanted to tell the President…something important.
Western Journalism gives us the scoop:
The brother of one of the victims of the Umpqua College shooter has a stark message for Barack Obama: stop with the anti-gun agenda.
Jessy Atkinson, the brother of victim Cheyenne Fitzgerald who was seriously injured in the shooting, appeared on CNN on Monday. When asked what he’d say to President Obama, the young man had a stern message.
“I would tell him to look where the problem really lies and quit running the agenda–quit running the gun agenda,” Atkinson said. “It’s not the problem. It’s mental health in America. It’s obvious. All of us talk about it and I don’t know why we are hiding from it.”
“We waste so much money and so much resources where they shouldn’t be overseas,” Atkinson continued. “We waste it on the war on drugs, you know we lock people up for smoking pot and waste tax dollars on that when we cold be dumping it into healthcare systems and really make an impact in ourselves.”
“It doesn’t seem like our country is going in the right direction and it’s sad,” he concluded.
The mother of the shooting victim, Bonnie Schaan, was also on with Jessy and she chimed in against Obama’s gun ban agenda by telling Anderson Cooper, “I feel that our children should be able to protect themselves somehow.”
Jessy Atkinson and his mother Bonnie aren’t the only people impacted by the murders at Umpqua college who are scolding Obama for pushing his anti-gun agenda over the bodies of the victims. Several other family members of shooting victims have also come out against Obama’s politicized gun rhetoric.
The area is in such support of the Second Amendment that when the President announced his intention to fly out to Oregon to visit with families of the victims, the editor of a local newspaper said that Obama would not be welcome with his unconstitutional, anti-Second Amendment agenda in their town.
Atkinson is 100% spot on.
Because the liberals keep pushing an anti-gun agenda they miss a very large problem. They miss how the state of mental health as well as the state of a depraved society engendered by socialistic policies created by a liberal government are the reasons behind gun violence.
Violence like this wasn’t a real issue until the welfare state was created.
Violence like what we see day in and day out is because of the destruction of the nuclear family and the erosion of firm, conservative values…not because of guns.
